How it Works

T.H.R.I.V.E. Emerging Leaders Reimagined provides CEOs and small business executives with practical skills, business coaching, and actionable training that participants can immediately implement in their company.

As a T.H.R.I.V.E. Emerging Leaders Reimagined participant, you will have access to an online learning platform that hosts the training curriculum, online discussion forum, and breakout community groups.

Participants are required to complete 8 core curriculum modules, show up and participate during biweekly coaching/CEO Group sessions, and work through their customized Growth Plan throughout the course of the program.

T.H.R.I.V.E. Programming

Programming includes Subject Matter Expert (SME)-led online training (core modules and electives), CEO Group masterminds and peer learning exercises, in-person group and one-on-one coaching, virtual office hour workshops, case studies, and networking opportunities.

Core Program Requirements

  • Total in-person* hours: 33

    - 11 biweekly classroom sessions, 3 hours each

  • Total online learning hours: 33

    - 8 core modules, 4 hours each (self-paced completion within 14-day period per module)

  • Strategic Growth Plan

    - Work through your individual Strategic Growth Plan throughout the program. Growth Plans are designed to help you map out your business growth and leadership goals, action steps, and resources you need to execute your roadmap

Additional Training and Bonus Support

  • Total elective ‘Surge Sessions’ micro-modules: 10

    - ‘Surge Sessions’ provide a customizable learning track for participants based on their industry and current goals (self-paced electives; 5 sessions recommended)

  • Virtual Office Hour Workshops

    - Weekly Office Hour Workshops are available for participants to meet with SMEs and Cohort Coaches to receive advice on their specific business challenges, 1-on-1 laser coaching, and case study demonstration for continued learning

ELIGIBILITY AND REQUIREMENTS

Do I Qualify to Participate?

T.H.R.I.V.E. Emerging Leaders Reimagined advanced training series is open to small business owners and executives that:

  • Have annual revenues of at least $250,000
  • Have been in business for at least three years
  • Have at least one employee, other than self
  • Can commit to completing the full program, including trainings, submitting assignments, participating during sessions, and reaching out for help
  • Are coachable, ready to be challenged and supported, and willing put in the necessary work to accelerate growth

There are no restrictions on the types of businesses that can participate. Participating companies include all industries including manufacturers, retail/wholesalers, contractors, professional services, and food services to name a few.

The training will stimulate and support the expansion of your business through strategies designed to help access new avenues of capital. It offers practical tools to pursue new paths for business development. It surrounds you with a network of government resources, and local business leaders prepared to invest time and energy in your business.

The program allows participants to work with a network of experienced subject matter experts in core business topics. In addition, the new 2022 format promotes an eco-system of business connections among business peers, government leaders, and the financial community. As a result, T.H.R.I.V.E. Emerging Leaders Reimagined helps build sustainable businesses that promote economic development within their communities. Additionally, entrepreneurs produce a three-year strategic growth action plan with benchmarks and performance targets to access the support and resources necessary to move forward.

Yes! There is no direct financial cost upfront, but participants must invest their time and commitment to complete all training sessions over the six months. SBA and our local partners cover all other costs.

Participants are required to attend and participate in 11 sessions (in-person or virtual), complete core training modules and assessments, and work through your individual growth plan throughout the course of the program. Detailed programming logistics will be provided to accepted applicants.

Yes, there is a waitlist. However, the amount of people on the waitlist is determined by the local District Offices.

This is a 6-month-long program.

If you have to leave the program, you will not graduate and you will have to re-apply again for the next available year.
