About Andre

Andre Whittington is the CEO & Founder of Opemia Consulting, LLC, located in downtown Phoenix, AZ. He is also a Contributing Author for Entrepreneur Media where he writes articles to inspire and motivate entrepreneurs. As a CEO of Opemia Consulting, LLC, Andre was able to triple annual year over year revenue and expand Opemia Consulting’s client portfolio internationally for the first time in 2021. Andre is a strategically sound leader with over 13 years of leadership & organizational development experience. Prior to launching Opemia Consulting, Andre worked in Corporate America leading learning & development teams, performance management strategies, and organizational development initiatives that directly impacted a workforce of over 30K employees. During his tenure in Corporate America, he successfully managed operational budgets of $5M+, managed remote teams of 30+ team members located both domestically and internationally, and implemented innovative operational solutions resulting in over $1M in cost savings.

As an Executive, Andre is not only focused on growing his business, but he is also committed to ensuring he leaves a positive impact on the world. In 2021, he launched the Opemia Empowerment Center, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that is committed to building stronger communities and an empowered workforce. Andre is a transformational leader who has a passion for service and possesses the skills required to develop strong organizational strategies for businesses and organizations of all sizes.

My Top 3 Values as a Business Owner:

My top three values as a business owner are: Integrity, Authenticity, and Innovation through inspiration.

1. Integrity
As a leader, I demonstrate these values by committing daily to holding my integrity no matter the cost. As a business owner, it is critical that you lead with integrity and have the courage to walk away from opportunities that don't align with your value. Having integrity as a primary value point has saved me many times - yes I have lost customers because our values didn't align but at the end of the day I was able to be proud of the work we are doing and that is what matters the most.

2. Authenticity
I believe that if you are a leader, authenticity is your superpower. Doing what you say and saying what you mean is important in business. As a leader, I have always set the tone for my teams and led by example. As a coach, being intentional and coaching through an authentic lens is critical to building trust and establishing a safe environment. However, if we do not have integrity there is no way we can be authentic. So for me, authenticity is the foundation of a great leader and coach.

3. Innovation Through inspiration
Finally, I demonstrate my third value, innovation through inspiration, by encouraging my team to take calculated and strategic risks. Being authentic and leading with integrity allows me to build trust with my team where they are not afraid to take risks because they know I will be there to support them through their failure and celebrate them through their successes. So I inspire my team by leading by example and demonstrating that in order to be successful we have to take strategic risks - my motto is to take the risk or lose the chance. However, when a team lacks inspiration they will struggle to innovate and the status quo becomes the norm.

I have spent over 12 years problem solving and leading large strategic initiatives. Over the years I have supported fortune 50 companies in launching new products, improving customer experiences, and developing organizational development strategies. Since leaving Corporate America I have leveraged this knowledge to assist over 100 small business owners in improving their business models, addressing capital challenges, and enhancing their foundational knowledge of entrepreneurship.

I can assist business owners at all levels in addressing their areas of opportunities, becoming more aware of their blind spots, and leaning into their strengths to create winning companies. I am a transformational leader who leads with emotional intelligence and integrity. My Experience in Coaching & Mentoring Entrepreneurs

I have over 12 years of experience coaching and mentoring entrepreneurs. Over the last two years, I have focused on supporting Entrepreneur incubators as a consultant providing guidance and program development support to ensure organizations are having sustainable impacts on small business owners who participate in their incubators/accelerators. I have provided coaching support to over 100 entrepreneurs and C-Suite Executives.
