About Wendy

Dr. Wendy Munday-Sahatjian is a top executive coach, consultant, and Associate Professor and tenured faculty member teaching in the School of Business at Newman University, a private non-profit Catholic liberal arts university in Wichita, Kansas. From 2010 to 2018, Dr. Munday-Sahatjian directed the MBA program at Newman University.

Wendy began her coaching and consulting practice in 1995, and over the past 25 years, she has worked with hundreds of CEOs, business owners, and leaders across multiple industries including aviation, automotive dealerships, banking, construction, media, medical practices, non-profits, professional services, and retail. Wendy focuses on guiding and inspiring clients as they map out their career goals and growth within their organizations.

Dr. Munday-Sahatjian is also very involved with the Kansas Leadership Center as a Mutual Learning Partner and since its arrival in 2014, contracted by Interise to facilitate the StreetWise Steps™ curriculum through the SBA’s Emerging Leaders initiative and to act as a national instructor support coach and evaluator for this program. This year she continues supporting entrepreneurs in the new 2022 SBA T.H.R.I.V.E. Emerging Leaders as a Cohort Coach for Wichita, Kansas and Rapid City, South Dakota.

In addition to more than 25 years of experience as a business marketing and management consultant, Wendy is also active in the Wichita community, including the Chamber of Commerce where she has been a member of several Visioneering Wichita committees and selected as a judge for the Chamber’s Small Business Awards. She has served as a Board member of several organizations in the Wichita community and continues to serve the community in her capacity as a faculty member at Newman University. Wendy is currently a Board member at Cricket Alley Ministries, an organization focused on helping women as they recover from hardships. Wendy has also been an active member of the Wichita American Marketing Association, serving on the selection committee for Marketer of the Year and was a keynote speaker on “Marketing for Small Business.”

Wendy received her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a major in Marketing from Wichita State University. She completed her MBA at Wichita State University where she was awarded the Dale E. Wiggins Graduate Assistantship. Wendy went on to Oklahoma State University to earn her doctorate in Occupational and Adult Education.

I have very specific experience teaching Emerging Leaders and have served as a Coach for many other program facilitators and sites. In addition, I have created Emerging Leaders curriculum, delivered it in person, online and hybrid. I also teach sessions at the national instructor annual training. I have many executives that I have and am currently coaching.

I have worked with Emerging Leaders for 7 years as an instructor for the program. I also have a thriving consulting business that serves many small businesses. I have been a faculty member teaching marketing and management for 26 years. I have worked with many small businesses as well as larger companies such as Textron.
